MapMyTurf is a territory and door-knocking tool used by field sales and fundraising teams, operated by ProAct Pest Prevention Group Pty Ltd (ABN 90 699 988 157) in Australia. You use it because the company you work with runs its field operations on it. This page explains, in plain language, what the app collects, why, and what happens to it.
The short version
- Your location is only shared while you're clocked on. Clock off or take a break and sharing stops immediately — the server refuses location updates and your live dot is deleted from the map.
- We collect what the tool needs to work: your account details, your work activity (doors knocked, outcomes, shift times), and your location during work hours.
- We don't sell your data, and there is no advertising or ad tracking in the app.
What we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, role and which company you belong to, created when you sign in.
- Location — your precise GPS position, only while you are clocked on and not on a break. Your live position is shown to your own team and is deleted the moment you clock off or start a break. In the mobile app, location can continue in the background (phone in your pocket) — still only while clocked on.
- Work records — shift start/finish times and breaks, doors visited (their map position and address), knock outcomes and notes, and optionally where you parked your car for the day.
- Technical basics — standard server logs (such as IP address and requests) used for security and keeping the service running.
Why we collect it
- To show your team where you are while you're working, for safety and coordination.
- To keep an honest record of work done — territories covered, doors knocked, results — which your company uses for things like payroll and performance.
- To run, secure and improve the service.
Who can see your information
- Your company's managers and teammates see your work activity and, while you're clocked on, your live location. Your company controls its own workspace and its data.
- We share data with the service providers that run MapMyTurf: hosting (Fly.io, servers in Sydney, Australia), sign-in (Clerk), company billing (Stripe), and map imagery (OpenFreeMap / OpenStreetMap tiles fetched by your device). Each only receives what it needs to do its job.
- We do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
- Live location: deleted as soon as you clock off or take a break.
- Work records: kept while your company's account is active, as part of its business records.
- Accounts and records are deleted on verified request or when a company closes its workspace.
